Orienteering on Foot

The beginning of the day will focus on instruction and review followed by two opportunities to practice skills such as reading a map and using a compass. Fred McCagg will have compasses to borrow if you do not have one of your own.

 

Teams will be formed to allow people to share skills. ULTIMATELY, our goal is to enjoy this activity on horseback (https://www.nacmo.org/), so join us to practice and perfect these abilities on foot.

 

Bring a dish to share for lunch or snacks for our breaks and debrief at the end of the day.
