Sun. Nov. 4

This year, we are combining our White Memorial and St. Jude Rides into one enjoyable outing. Because of this, there is a minimum of $10.00 to ride that day, but if you could collect more, that would be great.

The White Memorial Foundation Property is located in the northwestern corner of the state with wide open, easy trails that allow for a relaxing and enjoyable ride. The scenery is beautiful with slight hills and mostly flat roads. This year, it’s likely that we missed the bugs, because we are riding a little later in the season than usual. While the ride will be mostly walk/trot, if you really want to canter, we can always work something out. This will be a 2-2½  hour ride.

Ride out at 1:00pm, so give yourself the time you need to arrive, get ready, and mount up. Bring water for your horses and a snack for yourself. Parking for horse trailers is excellent. Looking forward to seeing everyone there. RSVP to Billie at 860-874-7589 or bmcnealey@gmail.com.

Directions: Take Rt 44 West to Rt 8 South to Exit 42 onto Rt 118 West. From the center of Litchfield, take Rt 202 West for approximately 2.5 miles. There will be a large White Memorial sign on your left. Once you turn into White Memorial, follow the road past the carriage house through the parking lot of the information center, past the sheds to the horse trailer parking lot.  (Billie McNealey)

The public is always welcome at meetings which are held the third  Wednesday of every month.
